Our Story

How it all started...

House of Healing started on the campus of Oberlin College in 2000.  Our pastors James and Keymasha Knight had a vision to build a ministry that would reach the unchurch and help people learn the principles of the Word of God. From its inception, House of Healing has been committed to building a diverse body of believers who are committed to advancing God's kingdom in the earth.

The church began as a bible study on the campus of Oberlin with college students and then it expanded to include residents in the city of Oberlin.  After a number of years of reaching college students and Oberlin residents, God put on Pastor Knight's heart to plant a second church in the city of Elyria.

Expanding the vision...

In  the spring of 2008, God led Pastor Knight to start a second campus in the city of Elyria. For a year, the church would hold two services: one in Oberlin and the other in Elyria. After rapid growth in the city of Elyria, God led our pastors to merge both services into one service since God had blessed the church to purchase a large edifice that could accommodate all of its members into one service. Presently, the church meets Sundays at 11am at 1417 West Ave, Elyria, Ohio 44035. We encourage you to visit and experience the move of God.

Where we are headed...

In the next few years, House of Healing will continue to expand its outreach across the country and into other nations. The church has sent two of its assistant pastors, Elders Marco and Francesca into the region of Ecuador. This year God is leading the pastors to focus on enlarging its tent so that we can build an online community through HOUSE OF HEALING TV that will touch people all over the nation. Currently, House of Healing TV is touching lives across the globe in regions like India, London, Canada and parts of South America.  Across this great nation,  people are tuning in from California, Texas, Georgia, Michigan, Washington D.C., Illinois, New York, and Missouri to name a few places.
